The OMG presence declared in food labels is a fully transparent element guaranteed by the European regulation 1830/2003. The DNA analyses made by PTP specialists permit to precisely detect and quantify the OMG presence in raw materials and processed products.

CERTIFICATION

DNA CONTROLLATO CERTIFICATION

Food safety, traceability and quality are essential and unavoidable issues.
A cogent European legislation has been put in place to safeguard these rights, with strict controls and guarantee systems. However, as many crises and food frauds have demonstrated in the last few years, these methods are not always quick and efficient.
To guarantee a major certainty, PTP has developed the DNA Controllato brand which certifies agri-food products quality. The brand can be placed in food packages and is granted without any charges to the companies that undertake a voluntary control plan to certify their products.

HALAL CERTIFICATION

Many products “Made in Italy” can be exported to Islamic countries but they must be declared Halal (permissible).
For the Italian companies that want to export their products to Islamic countries, PTP has developed a system for determining the presence of pork meat and its by-products, even in traces. PTP, in collaboration with Halal Italia, helps the companies to receive the certification to enter the market. Halal Italia brand is recognised in many countries with an Islamic culture.

OMG CERTIFICATION

PTP has developed innovative methods to detect the presence of OMG in seeds, animal feed and food products.
In particular, regarding corn and soy seeds, the ENSE method is applied, according to the ministerial decree 27/11/2003 G.U.R.I. of 03/12/2003.
In addition, PTP can provide Fastdata results in only 36 hours from sample delivery.

DIAGNOSTICS

PHYTODIAGNOSTICS

PTP, in collaboration with IPADLAB, provides services for plant nurseries in order to precociously identify the presence of pathogens, avoiding disease spreading.
The phytodiagnostics laboratory at PTP is certified by the Lombardy and Sicily regions and ISO 9001 for molecular phytodiagnostics analyses.
The methods developed by PTP can detect viruses, viroids, bacteria, phytoplasmas and fungi. The test can be done using the PLUS (Pre-Lab Unit System) system, which gives the possibility of carrying out a part of the analyses inside the company, saving time and money.

ZOOTECHNICS

In the last few years, technology has moved forward as concerning zootechnics, both on farm management and quality control front.
